Dear Foxy Family,
FINALLY THERE IS A BRIGHT LIGHT on the horizon, or at the end of the tunnel, however you choose to look at it. The BVI Government has given June 1stas our Date for The Re-Opening of Borders to regular traffic and we are SO looking forward to an increase of visitors from then on.
Travellers will be allowed to enter as long as they have proof of Covid-19 vaccination and a negative covid test from within the past 72 hours. Ostensibly this will mean that they will NOT need to quarantine but be able to move freely within the BVI upon arrival. Horray! It is hard to say if single day visitors from St John or St Thomas will be able to enter readily in the same manner, but I would venture to say that they would have to have proof of a recent Covid test as well. Nonetheless this is fantastic news for our sailing friends who can now, by carrying the proof of vaccination and submitting the result of a recent test to the Online Portal, be able to fly into St Thomas and come across to the BVI by ferry as they have long been accustomed.
As business owners, who have looked at empty harbors now for over a year, this will be a welcome way to sail into the summer months. Here at FOXYS we are already serving dinners to all comers β be it 12 or 24 and as of next week FOXYS TABOO, located on the east end of Jost Van Dyke overlooking Little Jost and Sandy Spit will also commence offering lunch and dinner as we have in the past.
Itβs a Great Day for Great News and our staff has been busy scrubbing the rust off the beer coolers and making sure that everything is working properly β and weβre happy to say thatβ¦ WEβLL SOON BE BACK IN BIDNESS as the saying goes.
Looking forward to seeing you all the next time around. Come on down and join the Party!
With love from de Islands, Tessa, Foxy and the Whole JVD Family |
